Nokia E90 vs. Sony Ericsson P1i
This guy wants to compare the Nokia E90 with the Sony Ericsson P1i, which is not entirely fair because these two devices are quite different from each other. I’d like to add that the reviewer is a little bit too enthusiastic about the Nokia E90… He ends the review by practically calling the iPhone a piece of shit so he is making a lot of friends. I must say I was entertained by this review but next time he should zoom out a little bit more.
From T68i to P1i
The people at Se-community have made a nice spreadsheet of all Sony Ericsson phone models up till now. So when you are planning to buy a Sony Ericsson you can compare them with this document. It’s also possible to check what your good old T610i was capable of (and was NOT capable of…) Once I was very proud of my T68i. Those were the days. You can download the file here.

Samsung G600 commercial
Only recently Samsung introduced the G600. It’s a 5 megapixel sliderphone that will try to give the Nokia N95 and Sony Ericsson P1i a hard time. Below you will find a commercial in which all features are summarized in high speed. I’m impressed.
Motorola RAZR2 preview video
The boys and girls of Phonescoop have previewed the three new phones of the Motorola RAZR2 Series: the Motorola V8, the Motorola V9 and the Motorola V9M. At the end of the preview they come to the conclusion that apart from some new functions and a slightly different look nothing has really changed. The only real news is the touchscreen. Sadly you don’t get to use it often though. It’s quite doubtful that this new series will become a bestseller in the long run.
Sony Ericsson J120i: low end, hard plastic
Sony Ericsson is doing well with their high end mobiles like the W880i, K850i en P1i. But let’s not forget they also make low end phones like the new J120i. The pictures show a very low end phone… Hard plastic, a tiny basic screen with 65k colors and it’s kind of bulky. The J120i does have a built in FM radio but doesn’t have a camera. It will probably be for sale within a few weeks.

HTC Kaiser video review
Expansys has made a nice video review of the HTC P4550 Kaiser. The size of the HTC Kaiser is reasonably small despite the presence of a full QWERTY keyboard. The menuspeed is quite fast and the possibility to put it on a table and use it as a mini laptop is useful. It is too bad the guys from Expansys didn’t test the webbrowser this time. It surprises me that the maker of this video has trouble to close the applications with the stylus. Maybe it’s just a matter of sloppy calibrating. A short summary of the specifications: Windows Mobile 6 Professional, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, 3 megapixel camera, integrated GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM. The HTC Kaiser will be available in one or two weeks from now.
Toshiba G500: Small but fat
This is the Toshiba G500, G900s little brother. The G500 is a triband slider running on Windows Mobile with a 2 megapixel camera, HSDPA, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB. Toshiba has built some nice features into the G500. It can be used as a keyboard for your pc and you can read received messages on the screen of your pc. The nicest feature is that the G500 can unlock your pc automatically when it’s in the direct neighbourhood and the pc can be locked automatically when you move it away. The size of the G500 is 96 x 49 x 22.9 mm so unfortunately it’s rather thick. The G500 weighs135 grams.

Samsung F500: Two faces
Meet the Samsung F500, a device with two faces. One side is a phone, the other one is a videoplayer. The screen can be tilted so you can put it on the table and watch it. Don’t expect too much from this feature because the size of the screen is only 2.4 inches. The screen of the phone is 1.5 inches. The Samsung F500 has 400MB internal memory, a microSD slot, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and a 2 megapixel camera. The interface is quite similar to the PSP. The F500 is 116 x 50 x 10.7 mm and weighs 108 grams. The Samsung F500 costs about €500/$650.
