Josh Woodbuy | HTC | 31-08-2007 12:53

Say hello to HTC Nike. It’s obviously just a HTC Touch with a rectractable keyboard but you will never hear this form the guys at HTC. The Nike runs on Windows Mobile 6 Professional, has a 2.6 inch touchscreen with QVGA resolution and 3G and HSDPA. It has two cameras: one 2 megapixel and 1 megapixel for videocalling. Other specs: FM radio tuner, WiFi, MicroSD slot and Bluetooth 2.0. Nice but not shocking. For now the HTC Nike will only be sold in Japan but the rest of the world will follow shortly.

Palm Centro coming up?

Josh Woodbuy | Other brands | 27-08-2007 9:15

Is it a Photoshop, a rumour or a leak? Anyway, this is supposed to be the new Palm Centro. It probably has a QWERTY keyboard in combination with a touchscreen. When you look cosely to the picture below the QWERTY keybaord is quite small so an additional touchscreen would be nice. The Centro will probably come out in the US in October via Sprint and will cost $99 Whether the Centro will reach Europe at some point is unknown.

Move over Nokia 8800 Sirocco Gold, here’s LG Prada Gold! The LG Prada has been one of the most stylish phones of 2007. Apart from that the Prada has a very nice user interface ans works nicely in cooperation with the touchscreen. LG delivers the Prada with a lot of nice extras like a leather case. For those who think the Prada isn’t luxurious enough now there’s the solution: the LG Prada Gold. The Gold Edition is a bit over the top with its 24 carat gold accents and will obviously attract a certain kind of public. The LG costs £499 / $1000 / € 850 and is available here.

Nokia N76 vs. RAZR2 V8

Josh Woodbuy | Motorola, Nokia | 25-08-2007 23:36

Today two shiny slick clamshells will fight each other. In the blue corner we have the Nokia N76 and in the red corner is the Motorola RAZR2 V8. Both phones will attract the same kind of buyers. When we compare the size and weight of both clamshells the Motorola comes out on top. The Nokia N76 is 107 x 53 x 14 mm and weighs 115g, the RAZR2 V8 is 103 x 53 x 12 mm and weighs the same. When it comes to functionality we can see that the N76 has a MicroSD slot, FM Radio and 3G. Things the RAZR2 V8 has not. The Nokia N76 runs on Symbian so you can install all kinds of different addons yourself. So now it’s one all. For both phones the looks are very imporant and it’s a matter of personal taste when it comes to the decision which phone will win this battle.

Apple iPhone vs. Nokia N95

Josh Woodbuy | Apple, Nokia | 23-08-2007 20:44

Below you will find a so-called Prizefight made by the guys and dolls over at Cnet between the Apple iPhone and the Nokia N95. Although the video doesn’t go too deep into the differences of both super multimedia devices it’s nice to watch a short round up of both devices. The outcome of the fight is a bit dissatisfying but I won’t spoil the fun!
