LG Arena KM900: bold and beautiful

Josh Woodbuy | LG | 07-04-2009 21:48

This is the LG Arena KM900: bold, beautiful and looks a bit like…. the iPhone. Let’s wait and see what the big manufacturers like LG, Nokia, Samsung and SonyEricsson will come up with when the new iPhone will be introduced in a few months. Probably they will try to copy it again. And why not? If you can’t beat the most hyped phone ever… join it! Anyway. LG Arena has a new 3D user interface with four adaptable homescreens, 3G, HSDPA , A-GPS, WiFi, a 5 megapixel camera with video, MicroSD slot, Bluetooth and has a touchscreen (surprise!). The LG Arena weighs 105 grams and its dimensions are 106 x 55 x 12 mm. The talktime is about 230 minutes. The LG Arena is available in a store near you.

LG KC780 for sale

Josh Woodbuy | LG | 13-12-2008 10:30

As of this week the LG KC780 will be for sale online or in your local mobile store. The KC780 has an 8 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens. LG claims it makes perfect pictures even in low light circumstances which is something most camera phones s*ck at… But wait, there’s more: it has smile detection and smile shot, image stabilisation and you enhance your pictures with some sort of photoshop function. You can even use your KC780 as a webcam through Bluetooth.Nice. The KC780 has a 2.4″ display and is a slider of just 13.9 mm. The KC780 is a true (and goodlooking) cameraphone. Don’t buy it for the 3G, WiFi and GPS because it’s not included ;-)

LG KP500

Today LG officially presented the LG KP500. What shall we say about this new LG? The next iPhone rip-off? Touchscreen for the masses? Or just the LG KP500? It’s a fact that it’s a reasonably affordable touchscreen device which will be available from the end of October. There are a couple of specs that we know about at this time: midrange device with 3 inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth with A2DP, FM tuner and a microSD slot.

This is the successor of the LG Viewty: LG KC910

Josh Woodbuy | LG | 25-08-2008 0:23

The Viewty has been a huge succes in the last 12 months. The main reasons are the slick looks and the 5 megapixel camera although it sometimes feels a little too cheap/plastic in my opinion. Oh well, its successor is almost ready: LG KC910. The specs are quite nice and there’s one outstanding feature an 8 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, xenon flash, VGA- (30fps) and QVGA (120fps) video. We all know the number of (mega)pixels is not everything but we’ll see in a couple of months. Other specs: quadband HSDPA phone with 3 inch WQVGA (400 x 240 pixels) touchscreen, WiFi, GPS, microSD slot and Bluetooth 2.0. The LG KC910 will probably be available from october of this year.

Samsung Instinct vs. LG Vu vs. Apple iPhone

Josh Woodbuy | Apple, LG, Samsung | 25-06-2008 22:20

The barking dogs at phonedog.com have made a very nice and extensive video review of the iPhone, the Samsung Instinct and the LG Vu. My choice would be the iPhone even though it’s one of the first generation. The phonedogs agree with me. Or the other way around of course.
